Hartford Museum
The Hartford Museum is housed in the former Liddle House; it is believed to be the oldest remaining house in the Hamlet of Hartford, circa in the early 1800's. The mission of the Museum is to acquire, catalog, and display the history of Hartford. The acquisition of furniture, books, memorabilia, and the educational display of these items are important to understanding the industry and the way of life that once existed in Hartford.
The Civil War Enlistment Center is the building, where the men of Hartford enlisted in Company e 123 Regiment New York State. This is the story of their 3000-mile journey to glory and service to the Union. This building is the only remaining Civil War Enlistment center in New York.
